Re.tangle 3 | Climate Disrupt brings a communal loom to an experimental art space at Field Projects Gallery in New York City. In Situ Fellows Kiran Jandu and Anna Chapman, developed a sonic loom with reclaimed materials with barbie.ai who uses contact microphones to transform weaving, touch, and collective movement into an evolving soundscape. 

Using weaving as a framework for moving through New York City’s climate and environmental justice challenges, public activations and Climate Week gatherings connect the loom to issues of climate migration caused by extreme heat, flooding, and pollution. 

The artistic process is in dialogue with environmental justice organizers and practitioners - exploring how collective making can disrupt climate instability!
